Ron Jellison A lifetime resident and advocate for Del Paso Park, he discusses the City's apathy towards the community, the park, and the inherit problems with locating a Homeless Shelter next to the Children's Receiving Home.
Arturo Local resident who works near the proposed Homeless Shelter. He discusses the City's failure to support the community, and the at-risk children at the Children's Receiving Home (including the horrible death of a little girl).
Jim A local businessman who participates in Business Watch (an organization of local businesses that attempts to work with local authorities). He discusses that the County and City routinely ignore and dismiss their concerns.
John McGinness The host talks about Proposition 47 and its adverse affects on California.

KCRA - Steinberg proposes 24/7 Shelter

July 1, 2022

Darrel Steinberg threatened to force-open the 24-hour homeless shelter next to at-risk children. Homeless will be located within feet of the Children's Receiving Home (which rescues children from environments plagued by drugs, alcohol, mental illness, and violence).

CBS News: Community Meeting Over Homeless Shelter Proposed Near Home For At-Risk Youth

Members of the Community held an emergency meeting on February 1st at the Horseman's Association. The City, deliberately, didn't warn he community about the Homeless Shelter. Fortunately, CBS News was there. Please click the picture to view the video.

This is older story that announced about the City's master plan. It should be noted, that the current Homeless Shelter site wasn't on the plan. The article also points out that no centers are planned near the Mayor's home in Pocket.
